Much has been written over the years about the correlation between a company’s culture and its employees’ job satisfaction and how well it performs in its industry. I have always enjoyed reading about and being a student of this important cause-and-effect dynamic, but it’s even more enjoyable when you experience it firsthand. If you don’t mind, let me take a minute as VantagePoint’s CEO to brag on our company and its people.
Just this past week VantagePoint Marketing was named as a top ten “Best Places to Work” company in South Carolina for the third year in a row, achieving our highest ranking yet: #3 in the small-to- medium size businesses category. As I observed the “Top 25 countdown” at the awards ceremony with my leadership team, I could only be amazed by how far we have come. Just a few years ago I never would have guessed in my wildest dreams that we would have received such an incredibly high ranking.
It’s been said many times before but it’s worth repeating again: a company is only as good as its people. When you hire great talent (competency, character and chemistry) and empower them, you get outstanding work. That’s why our most recent client satisfaction survey had an incredible Net Promoter Score of 96, indicating a very delighted client base. It’s this simple: a great company culture and its people deliver outstanding work that delights our clients. And that’s a formula that everyone likes.
Being in the business of marketing and advertising, we realize that everyone at VantagePoint is a brand ambassador. Each and every day we get to live out our brand and help impact our clients’ businesses. My thanks to each of our employees for their outstanding work and to each of our clients who afford them the opportunity to do great work, and as a result, find great job satisfaction in working with some of the greatest clients on earth. Here’s to pursuing a #1 ranking!
